Vintage Car Club Car Show, Holland, Michigan, Part Two

These two cars are the oldest here today, from what I could see. The first one is a 1918 Ford Model T. It belongs to Jerk. For more of his cars, see the garage tour taken by Luther's Cruisers Car Club; click here. The fourth picture is a 1923 Ford T-Speedster, owned by Michael, Jerk's Grandson. Fun to look at! A real treat to drive! Keep restoring them Jerk! And now Michael!

We all live in a yellow submarine! This was a real treat to see these very operable submarines. The owners are as proud of these as we are of our cars. I couldn't get close enough to the owner, who was telling the tale of the blue sub, so I don't have any information on it. I wonder if it was used by Clive Cussler and N.U.M.A. to find some sunken ships? What is that all about? See the books to the right of this and pick up a Clive Cussler book. Excitement under the ocean!

Say it ain't so Jer! This very sharp '62 Chevrolet Impala is for sale! I guess Jer has his eye on another one to restore. Thanks to Barb and Jer for bringing this by today. They had another show-n-shine to go to and took two cars to that one in Jenison. But they still took the time to show off this very well done 327 Chevy.

The first picture says a lot. Russ, the owner, is very proud of his '64 Ford Fairlane 500 Thunderbolt. There were few of these made, and Russ has one of them. It was built to be a limited edition car to commemorate Gas Ronda, a famous racer from the 60's. I enjoyed talking to Russ and hearing the story. If you see Russ around the circuit, stop and ask about his car. He loves to share the car's history!

You will not believe this. This 1958 Ford Skyliner was restored 30 years ago in 1978, and it is driven quite often by Larry and Kay, and has 245,000+ miles on it! I thought Larry was joking, but no, that is correct. He really keeps this car up. Very nice car, Larry and Kay. Hope to see it again at some future shows!

The British are coming! the British are coming! Barry brought this cute car along and wowed the crowd. It is a 1958 Morris Minor 2 dr coupe. A whopping 37HP engine pushes this car and I bet it gets great mileage! Thanks, Barry.

When I turned around and caught this car in my full vision, it took my breath away! I remember having my wonderful '29 Model A and to turn and see this Deluxe Roadster just made my heart jump! Mine was a business coupe, not nearly as sharp as this '31. Mike, you made my day by bringing this 100 point '31 Roadster. Wow.

This was such a sharp car. I didn't even know that there was a 1951 Ford Victoria. When I would think about a Vic, I would be thinking about a 1955 Crown Victoria. Fabulous paint job, interior work is beautiful. Who did the paint? Thanks, Larry, for bringing it to the show!
