Reinvented Classics at Zeigler in Grandville

As time ticks by and spring seems like it is never coming, even with the 60 degree warmth on this February day, I am biting at the bit for a good story. So I made a visit to Zeigler Dodge Chrysler last Friday. Got some great pics of one of the favorites in the Dodge line, Chrysler line and, by golly, they just got in a used Viper that I took some pics of too. Kinda a bonus photo shoot.

As I was thinking about what I could write on when the car shows are months away, I got to thinking...even though I am a classic car fan, there are some great "new classics," the re-invented classics if you will, just around the corner at the local dealership. So I made a call and was given permission to come in and take all the pictures I wanted!

The car that has always been one of my favorites is the Dodge Challenger RT. This retro looking car is a legend reborn. Sporting great badges and trim, this 5.7 Hemi engine is meant to turn heads both literally and figuratively. Backed by an optional 6speed transmission, this baby is meant to rock! Not too much chrome, not too much fuss, just a slick car that shows off some mean looking chrome wheels (20") and a interior that is clean and shows well. Again, not overdone or too gaudy, just the right combination of that retro look and modern technology.

Coming in great colors, I really liked the metalic black that was on the showroom floor.

Sitting next to the Challenger was a new 300. Now I know that the 300 is not a racing car, but it, too, comes with an optional 5.7 Hemi. I understand that this car can get up and run fast.

Then, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted something red. Sporty, clean lines and a "gonna gitcha" kind of look. Zeigler had just gotten in a used Viper! So I went over and got some shots of their car. 8,000 mile factory owned hot banana. Looka here...

So I guess the Show-N-Shines are coming soon. But don't forget that a quick trip to a local dealership can inspire us also. I thank the friendly staff at Zeigler including the young saleslady who helped me set up. Her name is Emily Brieve. See her next time you visit Zeigler in Grandville. She knew her cars! Thanks, Emily!
