Resurrection Life Church in Grandville 2009 Car ShowThis event gets larger every year! But this year, the threat of rain and the new $10 charge for entry (all the past years entry was free,) kept a number of cars away. But it was still probably the largest show in West Michigan! A number of car clubs were there with members showing off their kool cars! Classics, Rat Rods, Tuners, pre 30's, new classics (like the Camero and Chrysler Hemis,) and everything in between! Here is a quick view of some of the cars.

This was such a well done example of a complete restoration! Take a look at the engine compartment! Such detail! I don't know if he won, but I voted for him!

Must be a club gathering. All similar in year and quality! Thanks for bringing them to the show, guys!

I can get an idea what Big Red would look like with a big blown cranker tucked inside the engine hole!!

Again, Vern brings his car and wins a trophy! I just can't vote for any other car in this category. Vern, without a doubt, has the sharpest Chevy in town!

What a crowd! When the troops showed up to look, there was bumper to bumper people....but plenty of food, porta-potties and fun for all. My wife says porta-potties are never fun....

Eddie, you should have seen this Ford! Sooo nice! I know that this style is your favorite! Missed you again this year, buddy!

Hoppin' cars. Must have been 15 of these neat cars at the show. When they arrived, they all came together. Jumping, tilting, twisting their way into the show! Good job guys (and gals,) glad to have you at the show!

Be still, my heart. RED---COBRA----S000 nice!!!

This ones for you, Scruffy. Note all the Rats. This guy just loves rats....RATS!

I shot these as they were arriving. Three wheeled wonders! Are they not the koolest!!

This car was right next to Big Red. I thought I had a pic of the car itself, but I guess we have to just enjoy the engine. The owner has done a pretty nice job keeping this car in top condition.

More just arriving. We sat right near the entry road and had a great view.
To those concerned that Big Red was making a mess on the ground with a bad tranny leak, don't worry any more. Got it fixed. Leaking gasket...tranny is ok!
To publish even 5% of the cars would have taken 100 posts. My guess, 600-700 cars. Let me know if you heard the exact amount of cars registered. If you have any other comments, please click on "comments" below. Mike's Show-N-Shine loves to hear comments.

Our thanks to the crew at Resurrection Life Church for the hundreds of hours put into staging this show! And the many, many sponsors who gave the trophies. It is so appreciated!
Mustang Mike.....signs off. Car show in about two hours right here in Jamestown. About 2 miles away at Zutphen Family Life Center, 40th and Riley. In Zutphen. Bet you never heard of that town!
