Classic Recreations Shelby GT500CR revealed

Photobucket
Last year it was reported that Classic Recreations had signed a deal with Shelby to produce new versions of the 1967 Shelby GT500. At that time all we had was a few renderings of what the car would essentially look like. Now we have some pictures the company has released of the new/old Shelby.

New and old parts are mixed together to produce a true modern iteration of the '67. Modern rack and pinion steering, suspension, Baer brakes, and fiberglass panels bring the Shelby into 2010. A 545hp 427ci V8 will ensure that it is considerably faster than the original as well.

Or you can order up a 780hp supercharged option as well. Either way power is routed through a Tremec tranny and 9 inch rear end.
