GeigerCars Corvette Grand Sport

While the Corvette ZR1 is certainly the king of the hill when it comes to 'Vettes, the Grand Sport is no slouch. But now those who desire ZR1-like performance from their GS's have the answer, and it comes to us via GeigerCars.

Geiger bolts a supercharger to the GS' 6.2 liter V8, bringing horsepower up from 430 to 588. This helps the 'vette go from 0-60 mph in under four seconds. While this may not quite be up to the ZR1's 3.3 second mark, it gets the GS much closer to big brother's performance.

GeigerCars.de GmbH - Corvette Grand Sport

The name "Grand Sport" is entrenched in the racing history of the Chevrolet Corvette. Now, for the 2010 model year, there is a new edition that evokes memories of the racecars of the seventies - and Geigercars.de has already given these rockets an additional performance upgrade.

With the LS3 V8 under the bonnet, and the corresponding 430 hp and 575 Nm in torque, the Grand Sport is certainly not short of legs when it leaves the factory. But why be satisfied with production line performance, when tuning specialist Geigercars.de can give you something more? Thanks to the Munich pros, a supercharger with a fat 2.3 litres capacity sits on top of the eight-cylinder engine, which itself exhibits a volume of 6.2 litres. The result is a growth in the power of the Corvette to an immense 588 hp at 6,490 rpm, and torque of 738 Nm at 4,030 rpm. This ultimate sports car negotiates the sprint to 100 km/h in less than four seconds from contact, and it's not until reaching 337 km/h that the Geigercars.de rocket is forced to relent to wind resistance.

The Grand Sport impresses both aesthetically and technically, with wider front and rear fenders with additional vents, to accommodate the larger brakes of the sister model Z06 with its 355 mm, six-cylinder discs at the front axle, and 340 mm, four-cylinder discs at the rear. The front diffuser and larger rear spoiler are also borrowed from the engineers of the Corvette Z06. Sway bars, shock absorbers and springs have also been overhauled in addition to the six-speed transmission, while a dry sump oil system and differential cooler are also on board. The battery of the Grand Sport has been relocated to the rear. Optimum road contact is guaranteed by the 18 and 19 inch light alloy rims, with 275/35 and imposing 325/30 tyres.

Special factory-installed emblems on the front fenders, and not least the special graphics applied by Geigercars.de to the fenders, bonnet and boot lid, draw even the untrained eye to the character of this very special elite athlete - and underline that certain something about the entire project perfectly.

Geiger Cars 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

The 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 features a host of additions and changes, most notably an aluminum block and some weight saving measures that result in improved performance over the previous model. But for some folks, better is just not enough.

Karl Geiger of Geiger Cars is there for those folks. He has added to the already impressive GT500 a bigger Whipple supercharger, larger throttle valves, a better fuel injection system, and ported heads. These improvements result in a mighty impressive 799 hp and 697 lb-ft of torque. Top speed is a claimed 220, which seems a little on the high side to us.

All that whoa is backed up with a three disc carbon clutch and reinforced six speed transmission. Handling is improved thanks to a "racing chassis," panhard rod, polyurethane bushings and adjustable lower control arms. Brakes are 15 inchers with six pistons. Alongside the Ford Mustang V6 and its V8 brother Mustang GT there is the crowning glory of the series the wild Mustang Shelby GT500, which is equipped ex factory with 540 PS, an aggressive body and traditional double stripe paintwork. Anyone who remembers the American racing legend Carroll Shelby will be able to instantly imagine how uncompromising and purist the Shelby GT500 factory settings already are. The US car specialist Karl Geiger from Munich has now got its hands on this vehicle and take a look at how the upright Cobra has been transformed into an almost untameable monster!

810 PS, 945 Nm engine torque

As usual the engineers at GeigerCars.de from Munich operated on the open V8 heart of the American muscle car and in the process left no stone unturned. For more pressure they donated a 3.3 litre compressor to the 5.4 litre aluminium engine block which with its 1.6 bar supercharging pressure provides real fire in the forged crank drive. Larger throttle valves, a modified injection system, a 100 millimetre air flow meter and machined cylinder heads also guarantee that the inner organs are fine tuned. Additional coolers for charge air, coolant and engine oil ensure that the eight cylinder can always work at the perfect temperature range despite massively increased power.
Thanks to the massive changes the Geiger Mustang Shelby GT now generates a legendary 810 PS at 6,700 rpm, whereas the maximum engine torque of 945 Nm at approx. 4,300 rpm pulls on the increased differentials. Of course with so much engine torque the transmission also had to be reinforced and in the same step its 5th and 6th gears were shortened. A 3 disc carbon clutch produces smooth power transmission. A special manifold with racing catalytic converters and customised sport exhaust guarantee that exhaust gases are disposed of properly according to type.

High end chassis engineering

So that so much power can also be transformed in acceleration, GeigerCars.de fitted the Shelby with a special racing chassis as well as a Panhard rod made from chrome-moly steel including polyurethane bushes on the ends to balance the axial offset and new reinforced and adjustable trailing arms for improved rear axle directional stability. For the all-important contact to the asphalt surface four classic OZ alloy wheels in 8.5 and 10x20 inch guarantee adequate grip thanks to Michelin high performance tyres in 245/35ZR20 and 285/30ZR20. The upright Cobra is slowed down using 6 piston high performance brakes on the front axle with 380 millimetre large drilled or optionally slotted brake discs.

Perhaps this Mustang Shelby version would also put the fear of God into the US racing legend Carroll Shelby!

Geiger Ford GT, 790hp and loud paint


Geiger is a German tuner that has a fascination with American muscle cars. They also seemingly have a fascination with extremely bright paint hues and body modifications.

This particular Ford GT possesses those traits, as you can certainly bet that it's future owners will not pass down any road unnoticed.

Their latest version of the GT also has impressive power to back up all of that flaunting, with it's 5.4L V8 pumping out 790hp and 637 lb-ft of torque. Most of the power boost can be credited to the motor's huge 4.0L supercharger that replaces the stock 2.3L.

Geiger claims a 0-100 km/h jaunt takes only 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 223 mph. Check out the press release below for all the details.

Red is supposed to be the standard colour of warning. US car specialists GeigerCars.de from Munich have turned this established wisdom on its head, presenting their hottest shot with eye-catching bright green paintwork. The Ford GT "Geiger HP 790" is the third star after the Dodge Challenger SRT-8 (569 HP) and the Corvette Z06 Bi-Turbo (890 HP).

Karl Geiger's latest creation lives up to its name: the super sports car's 5.4 litre V8 engine can reach a terrific 790 horsepower, an impressive 240 HP more than its series equivalent. The source of this explosion of power? Above all the replacement of the series-produced 2.3 litre with a more powerful 4.0 litre compressor which blasts the combustion chamber at over 1.25 bars. Larger throttle valves and a sports filter were also installed to supply the eight cylinders with even more fresh air. The engine and gear cooling systems had of course also to be adjusted to the new design as well as engine electrics.

Geiger HP 790 shoots to 100km/h in just 3.6 seconds, breaks the 200km/h mark 6 seconds later and reaches 300 kilometres an hour in only 22.8 seconds - all this to bloodcurdling roars from the two 110-millimetre sports exhaust tail pipes - an in house development. Thrust and air resistance don't balance until you hit 360km/h. The supercharged V8 reaches maximum power at 6320 rpm and its maximum torque - 863 Newton metres - at just 4600 revolutions.

No question that a ride like this is not for the beginner, but experienced drivers will find the specially developed coilover suspension a great asset. Its hydraulic shock absorbers have adjustable pressure and rebound damping which can be set to suit drivers' needs and preferences - and of course the terrain.

Low and wide: the classic Ford sports car proportions are taken even further with 60-millimetere lowering. The wheel housing can't high superb matt black alloy wheels outlined in the car colour, mounted in 9x20 inches at the front and an impressive 11x21 at the rear. 245/35R20 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tyres on the front axle ensure precise transmission of wheel commands whilst the drive axle 325/30R21 tyres constantly fight for grip and traction - if only so they don't disappear in a cloud of blue smoke.

Geiger GTS, the German version of a Corvette ZR1


German tuner Geiger has produced it's own version of the venerable Corvette ZR1, dubbed the Geiger GTS. A few tweaks to the powertrain net an additional 63hp, bringing the grand total up to 710, while torque is up to 677 lb-ft.

OZ Racing wheels replace the originals, 19 x 10 in the front and 20 x 12 in the rear, and they are shod in 285/30ZR19 and 345/25ZR20 Michelins respectively.

The stock Corvette ZR1 nose and tail have been swapped out for some Geiger custom parts, and aggressive side sill extensions have been added. The custom paint is color shifting pearl white with black accents.

Geiger GTS: Extreme sportsman with retro elements

The announcement was clear: "It is very important for Corvette, to offer the strongest, most high performance and best sports car in terms of handling in the USA." With these words the former chairman of General Motors Rick Wagoner set his engineers a clear goal around two years ago, which also included trumping the Dodge Viper SRT10, which was shown at the Detroit Car Show shortly before, in all regards.

The technicians got to work and so the next year the persons responsible were able to proudly unveil the quickest and highest performance series vehicle ever produced by General Motors: the Corvette ZR1.

Under the sheer endlessly long bonnet of the ZR1 lurks a newly developed LS9 6.2 litre small block V8 with compressor supercharging. Pressurised by the Eaton R2300 compressor with up to 0.72 bar, this primitive engine gets up to 647 HP and a maximum torque of 823 Nm.

Further technical highlights of the extreme Corvette are its high performance breaking system with their 394 and 381 mm diameter carbon ceramic discs, as well as the electronically controlled suspension "Magnetic Selective Ride Control" with track level suspension mounting. Bonnet, roof, sill, rear wing and front spoiler are made of super light, but at the same time high strength carbon.

GeigerCars.de from Munich, which has specialised in the import and refinement of US cars for years, has not only brought this extreme sportsman from the United States to Germany, it has also optionally subjected it to diverse tuning measures at the same time – the first example of the Corvette ZR1 "Geiger GTS" will be presented to the world public at the 63rd International Automobile Exhibition at Frankfurt am Main from 17th to 27th September.

The datasheet for the Corvette ZR1 "Geiger GTS" shows 710 HP maximum performance with 6,600 rotations per minute and the car produces gigantic 918 Nm on the crankshaft at only 4,200 revs. Set up in this way the ZR1 storms up to 100km/h in just 3.6 seconds, and at the same time nails the back of the occupants' head to the head rest of the Geiger carbon sport seats. The propulsion only ends at a speed of 342 kilometres per hour.

At these values the hardest work is done by the 10 x 19 and 12 x 20 inch high performance tyres mounted on light metal rims with the dimensions 285/30ZR19 at the front and 345/25ZR20 at the rear tyres.

Of course GeigerCars extensively modified the look of the Corvette, lending it a styling, which is reminiscent of the large Gran Turismos of the 60's and 70's. The front and back were extensively modified; a wide air vent dominates the nose, while a massive diffuser attracts attention at the back. Both the fog and rear lights are based on modern LED semi conductive technology. The three layer mother of pearl varnish of the Corvette ZRI "Geiger GTS" with changing colour play is also a real eye catcher.

Geiger's 568hp, 195mph Chevrolet Camaro SS Kompressor


While European aftermarket tuners typically churn out hopped up Porches and Ferrari's, there are a few that tinker with American metal. One such example is GeigerCars.de, a German outfit that specializes in tweaking American muscle cars. Their latest offering is this Camaro SS.

Geiger has taken this particular SS and given it a once over, using a supercharger and custom exhaust to up the ponies to 568, complete with 590 lb-ft of torque. 22 inch wheels replace the stock 20 inchers, and they cover 380mm brake discs with six pistons up front and 355mm discs with four pistons in the back.

Geiger claims that all this motivates the SS to a 195 mph top speed. Check out the press release below for full details on this German bred monster of the Autobahn.

Camaro 2010 – the legend lives on

The trio is complete. After the Ford Mustang and the Dodge Challenger, Chevrolet perfects the revival of the legendary pony cars with the new Camaro.

From 1966 to 2002 Chevrolet manufactured four generations of the Camaro. First series models that are in very good condition are prized collectors items. When the US manufacturer unveiled the concept model of a totally new Camaro at the Detroit Motor Show in 2005, the public response was so outstanding that the series production of a fifth generation of the four-seater coupé was decided and with that, the remake of an American legend. The new vehicle no longer has anything in common with the often unpopular fourth generation car. In fact, the designers have combined retro elements and modern shapes, designed an aggressive front end, a bulky rear as well as stylish sides and roof – an unmistakable homage to the muscle cars of the sixties and seventies.

In the last few days, one of the first new Camaros arrived by plane from across the Pond and rolled from the airport right into the GeigerCars.de showroom in Munich. As of now, you can not only marvel at the four-seater coupé, you can also order one there...

The Camaro LS and LT models are already fitted with a superior 308 horsepower 3.6 litre V6 engine. The modern light metal engine generates 5200 revolutions per minute, an impressive 370 newton metres. The design of the SS (SuperSport) model engaged V8 with a superior 6.2 cylinder capacity is even more notably defined. This is available in two variations which perform up to 432 HP and send a maximum torque of 569 newton metres towards the powertrain.

On the subject of the powertrain: the six and eight cylinder engines can be combined with both a six-speed manual transmission and six-speed automatic transmission. Needless to say, the Camaro is equipped with rear wheel drive. The chassis is modern: Chevrolet has installed a Multi-Link strut front suspension and an independent rear suspension. There are adjustable coil springs, gas-assisted shock absorbers and an anti-roll bar fitted on both front and rear.

All round ventilated anti-lock disc brakes are standard in all Camaro models. Chevrolet equips the V8 models with factory-provided four- piston Brembo brakes which measure 355x32mm and 365x28mm.

The Super Sport models separate themselves from the rest by their colour coded finished bumpers, special front grille, low rear spoiler with diffuser, air scoop and air ducts for cooling the brakes. The mandatory rear spoiler is also available for the LT models at an additional cost. The SS coupés run on 8x20 and 9x20 inch light metal wheels and 245/45R20 front tyres and 275/40R2 rear tyres as standard.

However, Karl Geiger would not be the man he is if he could not already provide an extensive tuning programme for the new Camaro. The house specialty is the famously sophisticated compressor reconstruction. With a mechanical compressor, Geiger pushes the engine power of the Camaro SS to a roaring 568 HP. At 4100 rpm, the maximum torque is 799N m. The hot flue gas stream leaves the combustion chamber via a fan-type elbow with sport catalysts and roars through the stainless steel Geiger manufactured sport exhaust system.

A two plate sport clutch is responsible for the traction with the transmission. After the reduction of the end gear ratio, the Geiger Camaro reaches an impressive 314km/hr and even shows up the Porsche 911 GT3.

In order to have this power totally under control, GeigerCars.de have not only installed coilovers and adjustable sports anti-roll bars on front and rear axels but also a strong braking system. At the front there are six piston saddles with grooved 380mm plates and four piston saddles on 355mm (grooved) brake discs operate the drive shaft.

The 10x22 inch light metal frames are real gems which the Munich firm embrace with 265/30 and 295/25 tyres.

Geiger builds a twin turbo Corvette Z06


Geiger Cars is the mastermind behind this in your face, lime green, 890 hp Chevrolet Corvette Z06. The same company that brought you creations like the Gulf-Wing Hummer and the Santa-style H2 have turned their attention to American muscle once again and have introduced an abundance of new performance parts for the Z06.

The twin turbo package includes a bump in displacement to 7.6 liters and upgraded cylinder heads, valve springs, cams, a larger mass air meter, and a less-restrictive exhaust system in addition to the dual turbochargers. The result is an impressive 890horsepower and 694 lb-ft torque, as well as a reported top speed of 220 mph. The drivetrain has been beefed up accordingly with a sturdier twin-disc clutch and a carbon fiber driveshaft.

Who ever had the possibility to drive a Corvette Z06 never complained about the engine power for sure. After all, the US- American sport-car-icon is already powered by a series seven-liter-V8 engine with 512 hp. Even expert drivers should be careful behind the wheel of this steam hammer, novice drivers should definitely not get behind the wheel of the Z06. Only a madman would want to increase the output of this fast car significant. Karl Geiger from Munich is such a madman.

To be able to increase the output of an internal-combustion engine substantially there are basically three king ways: more cubic capacity, a charge using a turbocharger or compressor as well as classic tuning in the form of the modification of locomotive engine parts as well as the supplying of fuel and air. Pure Power

The cores of the engine tuning are the two high performance turbocharger, which blow air in the combustor. And because everything that comes in in the front has to get out in the back, GeigerCars.de installed a sport exhaust system with four end pipes, each one as thick as an arm, and sport catalysts.

The paper mould of the cubic capacity giant is already more then impressive: unbelievable 890 hp at 6.100 U/min as well as 940 Nm at 4.500 tours shows the data sheet. The maximum speed is about 354 km/h. However, only the driving experience makes one comprehend what the numbers on the paper really mean. I do know what I am talking about. With an angry thunder and fizzle the Bi-Turbo-Corvette answers every gas blow with an unbelievable thrust, which seems to have the possibility to cause a whiplash injury. Pure poison! Carbon fibre drive chain

Of course there is not used a serial Z06 drive chain. Built in is a boosted transmission as well as a two-disc-transmission made of carbon in combination with a cardan shaft made of carbon.
Shaft drives and differential gear were boosted as well.

A further challenge is the diversity of the engine power on the street. Geiger hoisted in the front 285/30 an in the back 345/25 tires on bright black coated rims. Behind the rim star appears a high performance brake system with grooved 380x32 mm brake discs and 6-piston-back gauges in the front and 355x32 mm discs and 4-piston back gauges in the back. The Geiger sport undercarriage contains sport shock absorber with 16-fold adjustable compression, tighter compound springs as well as stabilizers for font and back axle.

As usual Geiger used the in-house GT-Kit for the Corvette – car body. The bug and the rear show a completely new and brawny appearance. The louvred in the black hood not just look spectacular but also serve a technical purpose: they guard against thermal indispositions of the turbo engine.
