12th Annual Benefit Car Show for Burn Survivors

Hello all! This is going to be an ongoing post since I have so many great pictures of the 12th Annual Benefit Car Show & Auction for Burn Survivors.

First, I want to thank Steve, our president of West Michigan Mustang Club, for his work in bringing us all together. Meeting at Burger King and driving in as a club was a cool idea.

Second, I want to thank all of the volunteers who worked this day to bring it all together. The band, the food prep people, the auctioneers, the US Army - who brought in trucks and even a helicopter- the Firemen from all around the area who brought their city and township firetrucks for us to see.

And, lastly but by no means last, the special burn survivors themselves who came to have a good time. I hope you did!

This is the beginning of something special. These three shots are my favorite of the day and that is the way I will begin. I met April at the Burger King as we were waiting to head out to the show. I got the front of the car and the front horse at Burger King and the under the hood shot at the show. Beautiful car, April. I am sure there is a story behind the painting under the hood. I would guess it is not a happy story either. A great way to memorialize a loved one.

This very sharp 1966 Mustang is owned by someone with the initial "R". Since I do not list last names, you will have to figure it out. They are a member of WMMC!
Story - My wife and I bought a 1966 Mustang in 1969 as out very first car since being married. We always loved the Mustang and finally bought another one about 5 years ago. Our first one was just like "R"s, except a 200 6 cylinder.

This is quite a car. I wish I had written down all of the info on the poster at the front of the car. This is an original 64 1/2 Indy 500 pace car. Only 30 were made and this is one of them. Very rare. Thanks, Marty, for bringing it so we could see it.

Carol, this is quite a car! Black, beautiful and, I bet, quick. This is a Shelby Roush Mustang, 2007, and looks like new. Nice job with upkeep, Carol!

Bob said this car jumped out and bit him. Just had to have it. He almost gave it up when things went sour financially for a short time, but Bob saved the car and is driving it today. Love it in white!

Sharp 2003 Mustang Mach 1 belonging to Kevin. Sure looks great in blue!

How do I make my car stand out? Have a small model car on the air cleaner! Great idea, Kevin!

This sharp Mustang, in Black, belongs to Derek. Nice car, Derek!

More to come!! I have 60 great shots of Mustangs and other classics, along with other activities that were happening this sunny, summer day.
