The annual
Hudsonville Car Show was held on the service drive in downtown
Hudsonville. A simple show with some not so simple cars! Many plaques were given out and many owners went home happy. Here are some of the fine cars on display. Again, I apologize if your car didn't make it onto these pages. Maybe I had photographed it in the past, or I just missed it. Hang in there! You might make it in next time!

This was a show stopper. Clean, crisp paint, just enough chrome and an owner (and wife) who were enjoying the day and telling me about their car. Thanks for bringing this extremely nice car to the show. I really enjoyed it!

The cars don't have to be old classics to make Mike's Show-N-
Shine's list of fine cars. The trim work and wheels really set this car apart from stock.

And then there are cars like this one. This was his first showing since the 1970s of this remarkable car. The engine work alone deserves a trophy. I know he did win one for this very well done car. Congratulations and I look forward to seeing you and your car again!

This is a nice example of a 66 Mustang 289. It was parked next to Big Red and Big Red enjoyed sharing the "Mustang Lovers" looks with her. See you at the next show!

Just showing off Big Red's new license plate. Our thanks to American Muscle for finding us this
classic plate. American Muscle is one of Mike's Show-N-
Shine's sponsors. Take a look at their web site
here for many great Mustang parts. Did you see the
silver necklace that my wife was sporting? American Muscle!

This very sharp and clean Corvette was parked near us. I got to spend some time with the owner. It is only one of the Corvettes in his collection. He wants a bigger garage so he can collect more!! Great showing, my friend.

This car was an award winner! Again, paint was excellent, lines were perfect and interior was remarkable! Thanks for bringing it to the show!

Another award winner, this Ford Model "A" is a long way from stock! It has all the modern amenities to make the red color just "pop." They are proud of this car, for sure!

I am sure the owner of this car will never see this blog. I believe he was in for a haircut and didn't even join us for the show. It still caught my eye and I had to have a picture of it. The color doesn't sparkle in this shot, but I assure you it was HOT! To the owner, drop me a line. We need you to be bringing your very nice car to the car shows! (I am sure he was just busy, what with getting a haircut on show day.)

A great SS
Camero that kept giving. As I walked around this car, I was amazed at the beauty. I did not get to talk to the owner, but I can say it was restored with love!! Thanks for bringing this car to the
Hudsonville Car Show!!

Another award winner, I think it is a 65. Well cared for and shows top notch. This Corvette really turned my head. I remember looking at them through the show room windows back in '65 and drooled all over the window of the dealership!

At first, I thought this was the same car that was at another local show. But after taking a closer look, it is not! This one was extremely well maintained and as sharp as a pin. 1958
Skyliner that looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor!

A picture is worth a thousand words. I believe this car took best of show. Not a spot was missed with the restoration of this 53 (?) Chevrolet. I just knew it was going to be a winner and I guess that is why I took three pics. The chrome was spectacular as could be. Congratulations to the owner!

Ford did make some neat trucks. This is a great example of a well done restoration. Makes the owner proud to hear the comments I was hearing from the lookers at the show......

What is so remarkable about this '57 Chevy is that it is all original. Yup. That's what the signs said! The engine had two 4
bbls and an original oil bath air cleaner. The paint is near perfect as is the interior. What a "barn find" this must have been. Or did he buy it new? If you are the owner, drop me a line and give me some more facts and I will update my post!!

How many great cars can be at one small show? The owner is proud of this ride, you can bet! Thanks for bringing it for us to see. It is much appreciated.
That might be the last show of the season. Since we are so busy with trying to sell our home, I am finding it harder to make my favorite shows and the weather has not been favorable for some. But have no fear! I will be doing some product reviews and other articles to help you enjoy your classic car.
Coming up...some tips on finding that "right" classic car. Keeping the price down and the value up in this tight economic times.
