Fall Color Tour LCCC

Since we are moving slowly into the summer season and car shows and cruises are still far and few between, I have compiled some pictures of a past color tour. The members of LCCC look a bit confused at times, but other than that, we are having a fun time!

Your hosts, my wife and I, at the river near the wooden covered bridge in Ada, Michigan. The colors were just starting to turn, but the sun made it all pop out for us. What a beautiful Michigan fall day.

This is the LCCC group. Some are missing; not all of the club is here. Sorry for them. But the good news is, there is always next year!!

After we have the tour, we always end up in a nice restaurant. This year it was in Ada at the Vitale's Italian Restaurante. Very good food! Some of the best in the Grand Rapids area!

I just love my jacket. My wonderful wife got it for me for Father's day a while back. Now all I need is a 2004 Mustang anniversary model to go with my 64 1/2 and I will be complete!

Bunker Hill Chill & Grill, hotrods, fun and food

Well, let's dig deep and see what we have. Spring is just springing right now and no car shows are to be found. I didn't want to leave you hanging for another month, so I thought I would stir up some fond memories of days gone by. Following is a group of fine cars we saw at a place called Bunker Hill Chill & Grill. That's a restaurant and a section of North Allegan County.

Bunker Hill Chill & Grill is a great "Retro" restaurant with a flare for the 60's, black and white and, of course, cars. Excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reasonably priced, clean and friendly waitresses.

This was a new event, I believe the second year. We missed it last year due to my work schedule. I won't let that happen again. It was a lot of fun and some of the Allegan bunch turned up with their hotrods and other great looking rides.

This was a newer Vette that had been redesigned to look like a 54 model. A very nice job, very professional. I was told there was a company that did this kind of thing, but they went out of business. I guess not too many people want to take a $30-$40 thousand dollar Vette and change it that much. Hmmmm.

There. So when you are looking for somewhere to take a short trip this summer, think of West Michigan. Think of Bunker Hill Chill & Grill. Good eats and a fun time.
