SpeedFactory Selected to be the Exclusive Distributor for the new BBS Flow-Formed CH-R Road Wheel

Atlanta, May 5th, 2010 – SpeedFactory, the leader in modern Mopar supercars, has been selected to be the exclusive distributor for BBS's new flow-formed CH-R road wheel for all Chrysler and Dodge applications.

The prototype CH-R road wheel for Chrysler/Dodge applications was first introduced to the US market when it appeared in Mopar Alley on SpeedFactory's 700HP "SF700R" Challenger at the 2009 SEMA Show.

The BBS designed and manufactured CH-R wheel employs the company's pressure cast and flow-form technologies to achieve a superior stiffness-to-weight ratio and is used on factory built race cars from Ferrari and BMW. The CH-R features back milled spokes, laser etched 'Motorsports' lettering on the wheel center and a unique stainless steel rim protector.

Available as a direct replacement for the factory wheel on the new generation Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger in 20" X 9" dimensions, the CH-R allows current owners to retain the stock OEM tire. It is also available in a staggered format with a 20" X 9" front wheel and 20" X 10.5" rear wheel that enables owners to run an even wider rear tire, up to 295 X 35 X 20. SpeedFactory will offer the CH-R in 'satin black' as well as a 'diamond silver' finish.

Mike Brillanti, President, SpeedFactory Cars on the collaboration with BBS says "superior high performance parts are a prerequisite to building a SpeedFactory supercar and we required a wheel that was very stiff, durable and as light as possible. The BBS developed CH-R is all that plus it's a tremendous value. It adds a serious motorsports edge to our cars .....We're thrilled to be the exclusive distributor and to be able to offer the CH-R to all our SpeedFactory customers "

The SpeedFactory CH-R, in both satin black and diamond silver, retails for $749.

Video: SpeedFactory builds quickest Dodge Charger in the world

SpeedFactory, a Chrysler loving tuner, has taken a 2006 Dodge Charger to a new level of fast. By inserting a Gen III stroked Hemi motor complete with Vortech supercharger under the hood, they are generating a stout 900+ horsepower. Amazingly the stock transmission and rear end back it up.

The result is, according to LXForums.com, the fastest run on any LX/LC platform car with a quarter mile of 9.453 seconds at 145.38 miles per hour. Check out the video evidence above, or the press release below for more details.

PRESS RELEASE

SpeedFactory 426 Charger Again Sets World Record Quarter Mile Time for Chrysler LX/LC Platform Vehicles

Atlanta, GA, January 27, 2010 - On January 23, 2010, SpeedFactory's 426 Charger completed the quarter mile in 9.453 seconds with a trap speed of 145.38 mph at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, Georgia. According to records kept by the LXForums.com moderators, SpeedFactory bested all previous quarter mile times set by actual production LX/LC-platform cars-modern Dodge Chargers, Challengers, Magnums and Chrysler 300Cs. SpeedFactory driver Eddie Rosa piloted the Charger.

SpeedFactory, in collaboration with partners Landmark Dodge Chrysler Jeep, Vortech Superchargers and Paramount Performance, built this car from a 2006 Dodge Charger platform utilizing a unique combination of heavily modified stock components. The SpeedFactory R&D (Research and Development) Charger is a test platform for high horsepower technology destined to power SpeedFactory's production vehicles.

A GEN III 426 HEMI stroker motor is boosted by a Vortech centrifugal-style V-7 YSi-trim supercharger and is controlled through factory electronics, producing over 900 HP. The car retains modified factory components: transmission, IRS differential with 1000HP half shafts, suspension and shocks. A curb weight of 3,750 pounds was achieved by removing the interior.

"We are all very proud of this achievement, which showcases our continued commitment to the development of our brand and ultimately carries over into our customers' vehicles," said Mark Brucks, general manager, SpeedFactory. "With the introduction of the Drag Pack Challengers, we knew that records would be broken, and to achieve this with a modified stock vehicle that still utilizes the factory components makes this even more exciting to us and our partners. We believe there is more that can be done to produce even faster times."

"The Vortech V-7 YSi-trim supercharger supports up to 1200HP with 78 percent efficiency," said Gil Cormaci, director, sales and marketing for Vortech Engineering. "We are very pleased to be associated with SpeedFactory and Landmark Dodge Chrysler Jeep. The application of our YSi-trim compressor to this HEMI Charger was done with the highest expertise, resulting in this impressive time and speed."
