SpeedFactory Selected to be the Exclusive Distributor for the new BBS Flow-Formed CH-R Road Wheel

Atlanta, May 5th, 2010 – SpeedFactory, the leader in modern Mopar supercars, has been selected to be the exclusive distributor for BBS's new flow-formed CH-R road wheel for all Chrysler and Dodge applications.

The prototype CH-R road wheel for Chrysler/Dodge applications was first introduced to the US market when it appeared in Mopar Alley on SpeedFactory's 700HP "SF700R" Challenger at the 2009 SEMA Show.

The BBS designed and manufactured CH-R wheel employs the company's pressure cast and flow-form technologies to achieve a superior stiffness-to-weight ratio and is used on factory built race cars from Ferrari and BMW. The CH-R features back milled spokes, laser etched 'Motorsports' lettering on the wheel center and a unique stainless steel rim protector.

Available as a direct replacement for the factory wheel on the new generation Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger in 20" X 9" dimensions, the CH-R allows current owners to retain the stock OEM tire. It is also available in a staggered format with a 20" X 9" front wheel and 20" X 10.5" rear wheel that enables owners to run an even wider rear tire, up to 295 X 35 X 20. SpeedFactory will offer the CH-R in 'satin black' as well as a 'diamond silver' finish.

Mike Brillanti, President, SpeedFactory Cars on the collaboration with BBS says "superior high performance parts are a prerequisite to building a SpeedFactory supercar and we required a wheel that was very stiff, durable and as light as possible. The BBS developed CH-R is all that plus it's a tremendous value. It adds a serious motorsports edge to our cars .....We're thrilled to be the exclusive distributor and to be able to offer the CH-R to all our SpeedFactory customers "

The SpeedFactory CH-R, in both satin black and diamond silver, retails for $749.

Dodge Challenger tops in Consumer Reports owner satisfaction survey

Consumer Reports has surveyed 380,000 subscribers to rank satisfied new car owners and surprisingly the Toyota Prius is no longer the champion. 92 percent of Dodge Challenger owners said they would definitely buy another one if they had the chance to do it again.

This is huge for Chrysler, as they have long been known for nagging issues with their vehicles, as well as being routinely beaten down by Consumer Reports.

The Big 3 improved their standings in the rankings overall, as 9 percent of American models were at the top of the list. For all the details, head over to the Consumer Reports website.

2010 Dodge Challenger R/T now available in Detonator Yellow

The Dodge Challenger is a nice throwback to simpler times, when horsepower was king and everybody wanted to look good and win the stoplight drags at the same time. While the Challenger is not going to see any major updates (it just came out a model year ago, after all) it will be seeing some new colors.

We've already seen the car in it's classic Plum Crazy hue, and now we have our first look at the Challenger R/T in Detonator Yellow. This is the "high impact" color that preceded Plum Crazy.

Dodge Challenger NASCAR Nationwide Series car revealed

NASCAR's new Nationwide Series has already generated some buzz with the debut of the new Mustang stock car, and now it has another pony car in it's stable: the Dodge Challenger.

Chrysler pulled the wraps off it's new ride in Talledega, and the pleasant surprise is that the car retains a pretty stock looking front end. The Challenger joins not only the Mustang, but as of now unannounced cars from Toyota and Chevrolet in four races on the 2010 Nationwide Series calendar: Daytona in July, then later dates at Michigan, Richmond, and Lowe's Motor Speedway.

The new car designs are expected to be fully adopted for the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series season. This process is the same way NASCAR rolled out the Car of Tomorrow in the Sprint Cup series. Check out Dodge's official press release below for more info.

Dodge Motorsports Notes & Quotes - Dodge Introduces Challenger For NASCAR Nationwide Series

TALLADEGA, Ala. (Friday, Oct. 30, 2009) – Dodge Motorsports today revealed the Dodge Challenger as the "New Car" for the NASCAR Nationwide Series and announced an expansion of its partnership with Penske Racing beginning in 2010. Dodge will provide support for Penske Racing's two-car operation in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, in addition to Penske's three teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

"As the performance brand of our new company, we are excited to expand our relationship with Penske Racing and introduce the iconic Dodge Challenger as our entry into the NASCAR Nationwide Series," said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO, Dodge Car Brand. "Motorsports are a significant part of the Dodge brand's legacy. Penske Racing has such a rich tradition in motorsports, and our partnership in the Nationwide Series will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase the Challenger and offer our loyal Dodge enthusiasts plenty of excitement in this very competitive series next year."

Penske Racing will field two teams, both running the full-season schedule. The Dodge Challenger will be used at the four "New Car" races NASCAR has designated, starting at Daytona in July. At the other 31 events that complete the 35-race season, Penske Racing will field Dodge Chargers as it did this season with the No. 12 Verizon Wireless Dodge Charger driven by Justin Allgaier. NASCAR is expecting full integration of the "New Car" in 2011.

Joining Allgaier will be Brad Keselowski in the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge. He also will compete in the Dodge Challenger for the four designated races and in a Charger for the remainder of the schedule.

"Today's announcement further reinforces our relationship and commitment to Dodge Motorsports, and we are excited about our future with this great brand," said Tim Cindric, President of Penske Racing. "We believe Dodge's relationship with Penske Racing will continue to elevate and highlight both our brands and deliver value to Dodge enthusiasts."

Allgaier, in his rookie season in the Nationwide Series, is currently fifth in the season point standings and the leader among Rookie of the Year candidates.

"Penske Racing has a very successful relationship with the Dodge brand," commented Allgaier. "I am honored to be one of Dodge Motorsport's drivers and to be able to drive the new Challenger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series is going to be awesome. The car looks great and will give the Nationwide Series its own identity."

2010 Dodge Challenger
The Dodge Challenger merges the best American muscle-car characteristics-unmistakable design, world-class handling, powerful engines and technology-to delight driving enthusiasts across several generations. The two-door coupe accommodates up to five passengers and is produced from the company's proven rear-wheel-drive platform. With three models of head-turning styling, two legendary HEMI® V-8 engine choices, up to 25 highway miles per gallon, more than 25 safety and security features and modern amenities, it's no surprise Dodge Challenger was awarded J.D. Power and Associates "Most Appealing Midsize Sporty Car" in its 2009 APEAL Study.

"The Dodge Challenger has proven to be one of the most sought after high-performance vehicles on the street today," said Dave Bailey, Senior Manager of Motorsports Engineering and SRT Body, Interior and Electrical. "Sharing our consumer's passion for performance through the race version of our Dodge Challenger will continue to showcase the unique engineering brought to our race and production vehicles."

Dodge will continue its support of Penske Racing's three-car operation in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2010 with drivers Kurt Busch, Sam Hornish Jr. and Keselowski.

The No. 12 Dodge Challenger will take part in Monday's NASCAR Nationwide test session at Talladega Superspeedway for the "new cars" with Allgaier driving.

Hurst unveils signature color combo on Series 4 Challenger

While gold and white are what Hurst is known for, some folks may want to have their aftermarket Charger in something a little different in order to not look like everyone else. Or maybe they just don't like gold and white.

For whatever reason, you can have your Hurst Challenger in a different color combination, this classy looking silver and black scheme with red trim. And these colors just happen to be the company's traditional colors.

The silver and black cars all come with a unique production number and certificate of authenticity. Niceties include a red anodized pistol grip shifter, 20-inch forged wheels with graphite gray painted spoke inserts, red perforated leather inserts and stitching, and Hurst logos on the dash, grille, wheel caps, floor mats, and on the front fenders. The Performance Series cars also come standard with Eibach suspension upgrades, a Magnaflow exhaust system, BFGoodrich KDW tires, and an optional Vortech supercharger.

PRESS RELEASE:

Hurst Performance Vehicles, one of the most recognized and revered names in automobile history, unveiled the first-ever Series 4 Supercharged 2010 Hurst/Hemi Challenger, dressed in the signature silver and black Hurst colors at the "Back to the Bricks" celebration in Flint, Mich.

Hurst legend, Doc Watson, joined Nate Shelton and Ron Flint of Hurst Performance Vehicles to unveil this newest addition to the Hurst Performance Series, which is complete with red accent stripes and detail throughout.

"We are honored to be here in Flint today to introduce the newest Hurst Executive Hot Rod," said Nate Shelton, Chairman of Hurst. "The Back to the Bricks celebration is the perfect place for us to join Doc and introduce this stunning car as a tribute to Hurst's legacy."

The numbered silver and black Challengers come equipped with a wild red anodized HARD-DRIVE® pistol grip Hurst shifter and 20" one-piece polished aluminum Hurst forged wheels, featuring graphite gray painted spoke insets and red and black Hurst logo wheel centers. Hurst collaborated with Katzkin on the car's black leather interior, which features perforated red inserts, red top-stitching and logos. Each Challenger contains traditional Hurst red and black logos in the dash badge, grille badge, wheel centers, fender graphics and the embroidered floor mats.

Doc Watson and Hurst introduced the silver and black Hurst/Olds with GM in 1968, a program that went on to be the most famous Hurst production program ever.

"I am proud to be part of the continuation of a great Hurst tradition." said Watson. "These wonderful vehicles should prove to be some of the most collectible Hurst cars in the future."

Hurst limited edition cars are well known by enthusiasts worldwide and are some of the most iconic and valuable muscle cars sought out by collectors. The cars are readily recognizable due to Hurst's signature paint schemes and graphics.

The Performance Series cars are a limited numbered series. Each comes with a sequentially numbered dash badge and its own Certificate of Authenticity. These cars all feature Hurst's own AIR-SPEED® rear deck spoiler painted in body colors, Hurst/Eibach suspension, shocks and sway bars, Hurst/Magnaflow polished stainless steel cat-back exhaust, BF Goodrich KDW Performance Tires, Hurst/Katzkin leather interior, embroidered logo floor mats, a custom car cover and K&N Air Filters.
